How to Pay Tithing Online Through BDO (LDS Philippines)

Today's blog post explains how to pay your tithing online through online banking in the Philippines.

During the quarantine period, faithful Filipinos desired to pay their tithing. I have kept my tithing safe and hoped for Sunday service to come back so that I can pay our tithing. Often I asked the Bishopric how could I pay my tithing. 

Paying tithing during the quarantine period was quite a challenge because I was almost tempted to use part of it. 

But I salute those members who remain faithful until the church service went back. They were successful in protecting their tithing from doubt, depression, and loneliness. 

At some point during this period, I doubted. But wait! No! 

An announcement made from the Area Presidency. Finally, they have opened an account in selected banks in the Philippines. It means that members who can access their bank online can now pay tithing with simple steps. This was great news for some. 

Pay tithing online for the first time:

If this is the first time to pay tithing online, you need to enroll a new biller first before we could transfer money. 

        Step 1: Go to online.bdo.com.ph

Click Online Banking Login, Personal, and BDO ONLINE BANKING.

        Step 2: Enter your BDO Online account username and password and click "Login".

         Step 3: Enter the OTP number. 

This will be sent to your mobile number registered to your account. This is a secure login procedure of BDO.

        Step 3: Logging in will bring you to this screen for enrolling in the church.

Click ENROLLMENT, then, choose COMPANY/BILLER.

        Step 4: Enter the Enrollment Detail.

Find "THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS" under Company/Biller.

For the Subscriber Number, type TITH for tithing or FO for fast offering, followed by the 11-digit membership record. No space. 

Example: TITH12345678900 or FO12345678900

Subscriber Name is your complete name.

Preferred Nickname is what you like to call for this disbursement. I just call this TITHING FO. 

Check "Online Banking".

Then, click SUBMIT.

Submitting all the correct information will bring you to this approved page. This page will tell you that the enrollment was successful.

You are now ready to transfer your money.

Pay your tithing online:

        Step 1: Click PAY BILLS AND RELOAD. Then, choose BILL PAYMENT.

Choose PAY BILLS.

        Step 2: Clicking PAY BILLS will bring you to this PAYMENT DETAILS page.

If you have multiple accounts online, you get to choose what account to disburse this payment.

Find THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS company/biller that we just enrolled.

Enter the amount of your tithing.

You can enter your remarks on the coverage months of your tithing.

Tick IMMEDIATELY. This means the money transfer will be transferred immediately.

Click, SUBMIT.

        Step 3: After submitting with all the correct information, this will bring you to this VERIFICATION PAGE. 

Review if the information you entered. You can click continue if all was correct or cancel it if there were mistakes. And go back to the previous step.

Clicking continue will give you a notification that you have successfully paid this payment. 

        Step 4: You have now paid your tithing online! 

Do you know that you can check all your tithing, fast offering, and other donation at donations.ChurchofJesusChrist.org? Isn't amazing? 

You don't have to worry anymore. It is easy to check your donation history and statement.
