Relief Society Activity: Online Make-up Tutorial

Because of COVID-19, everyone stayed at home, and we missed to wear our Sunday's best and put on our simple make-up.

Who said we can't do this? If we do our sacrament at home, we can still wear our favorite clothes on and put some make-up. 

As inspiration started to come, we decided to have an online make-up tutorial to learn how to improve putting on makeup.

Invitation and Preparations

I posted it to our ward's group chat on Facebook, a week to the event, to give time for the teacher and sisters to prepare their materials and set their calendars.

I think choosing an instructor is not difficult. I can observe in our ward, some sisters love doing this. I have to pick someone with the confidence to share her knowledge.

We had an exchange of ideas and I liked how we end up with ways to meet the objective of the activity.

Activity

Participants gathered at the ZOOM app. Upon admission, some video conference rules that were observed. Mics were muted and videos were live. The teacher wanted to see if they have followed her instructions correctly and if they have questions that's the time they will unmute their mic.

She explained the purpose of each procedure. Demonstrated the proper use of products. Explained the brands that she loved.

She waited for all the participants to finish each step before they moved on to the next. This made the activity very long but they were not mindful of it because they enjoyed the activity.

Some questions were asked to check if they have learned from the activity. I think all of them were able to answer correctly. They were given prizes.
